Hello, this is Gary Sharpe, its the 13th of March 2016.
In this video I'm going to show you where we are now at nearly two months after I started Out-Thinking Parkinson's.
You will see that in one hand I've got a piece of cotton wool, the other hand is empty. And the hand I'm holding...
hand I'm holding I can move it much easier, just because I'm holding that piece of cotton wool on a ribbon
It's bizarre, but I've been training myself and this is where we are now at.
You see how my empty hand is struggling and a bit jerky, whereas, just because I'm holding that piece of cotton wool, I can move my other hand quite fluidly and quick... there you go. I'm going to change hands and show you the effect is mirrored.
It really is because for some reason my brain knows I'm holding that piece of cotton wool. It's very odd isn't it?
Is this just a gimmick? No! There are some serious applications which I'm going to show you.
... just doing some more left and right comparisons...
See now look at that... it's not just one motion... I can move almost freely.
Try it with the other hand that and it's that slow bradykinetic Parkinson's...
I've learned. The mind trick... I can imagine I'm holding a piece of cotton wool now, in both hands.
I'm free to move while I'm in this mindset...
Look at that!
Look at that...
It's all in the mind?
Or is it?
