The above video shows me moving to music, as recorded at 9pm on January 1st 2017, nearly three and a half hours after I’d taken any Parkinson's drugs. As you can see, I am still moving very well indeed, and with no sign of the dreaded dyskinesia. To give some context to this, the last time I was this functional so long after a dose of medication was way back in the early stages of my diagnosis, perhaps 5 years ago.
As we are now approaching the one year mark of the Out-Thinking Parkinson’s project, in the next post I will include some direct comparison “now and then” videos, showing how I currently am compared to this time last year. The differences are stark and, I hope you will agree, my improvement is truly remarkable. At the start of the project, we believed that full recovery is possible. Now, we are even more certain of this and I will explain why.
Then in a series of articles, I will cover several new quality of life interventions which we have recently incorporated into my recovery programme, resulting in a further step change in my symptom relief.
I would like to take this opportunity to send sincere gratitude to Deb Helfrich, the Holistic Wellness Mentor, and Director of Wellness Research for Out-Thinking Parkinson’s, without whom none of this would have been remotely possible. For myself, Deb has proven her worth many times over. So if you are suffering from an illness for which your Healthcare system is not providing answers, I highly recommend hiring Deb - she may be able to provide some light at the end of your tunnel too, via her unique brand of holistic research. Deb can be contacted through her website, Insights Occur.
We have also co-authored several e-guides for Parkinson’s recovery, which can be obtained in printable PDF format from our Downloads section of this website.
